The 5 pillars of TEAdot Nutrition include the following:

1: Eliminate grain consumption
That means no wheat, corn, rice, quinoa or any other grain. Grains have the highest concentration of toxic chemicals. More importantly, they spike blood sugar, which leads to a domino effect on your hormones.

Your endocrine system is thrown out of balance with grain consumption, and that leads to weight gain.

2: Only eat single-ingredient whole foods

Eat fruits, vegetables, lean meats, nuts, virgin oils, and any other single-ingredient natural foods. These foods have the most beneficial nutrients and antioxidants that will nourish your body. Is the ingredient list longer than one item? If so, drop it!

That also means NO REFINED SUGAR. No table sugar and nothing with added sugar. Naturally occurring sugars are acceptable, but that brings us to the next point...

3: Manage your carbohydrate intake

A VERY IMPORTANT aspect of the program is managing your carbohydrate intake. We in North America eat way too much. As a general rule of thumb, keep your net carbohydrate intake to only 15 grams per meal. Net carbs is total carbs less your fiber. For example, if a banana has 20 total grams of carbs and has 3 grams of fiber, your net carbs are 17 grams. So only eat three-fourths of the banana at that meal. Don't worry, you'll survive : ) Just eat the rest of the banana at your next meal, or share it with a friend.

4: Vitamin D supplementation

You must also supplement with liquid vitamin D that is made from a medium chain triglyceride (MCT) base. Vitamin D is the first step to regulating your hormones and your endocrine system. Living in Toronto myself, and many people in North America don't have year-round sun shine. Vitamin D is crucial to hormone regulation.

5: Stay Hydrated

Drink a lot of water! Water will help flush all the toxins and help you lose weight. You can also drink non-calorie beverages such as teas and black coffee. Stay away from non-calorie drinks that contain aspartame or any other artificial sweeteners. We're looking to remove the toxins, not put them back in. Water and tea are the best.
